I have replaced the bulb and checked fuse (#6) as suggested, and still can't seem to fix the problem (light does not come one when hood is opened). Is there a switch or some type of mechanism that supplies power to the light to come on when the hood reaches a certain point in the opening process? This is the next place to look, I guess.
Thanks in advance and to all the replies to my original post

Open your hood, stand in front of the car. Down to the left infront of the radiator shroud there is a connection that some disconnect when the car is shown...

If it is connected, disconnect it and put a 12 volt test light on it. It should have power. If it does the light might have issues with the level switch mechanism if it has one. I assume it does.
Keep us posted

There is a switch built into the light, it is not replaceable you have to buy a new light, As fireman591 has suggested check to see if you have power but you would be better off checking both places where it disconnects down by the radiator shroud and at the bulb.
Thanks, guys! I checked the connection by the radiator shroud as per directions - thanks WILFULONE, and no "juice". I pulled the #2 fuse, and it was blown. Thanks QUICKSILVER Z and ROSSI396! Thanks to all Forum members who helped out with suggestions!
