I did...last year. Don't know about the power benefits, but I needed it to detete that damn fuel cut-off at 6600. There were several tracks that if I only had 1 or 2 hundred more rpms, I wouldn't have to upshift and still be able to get those few tenths of a second...Road Atlanta thru the "esses" for instance.
Turns out that the GM motorsports guys offered to reprogram the computers and set the fuel cutoff at 6800!!!! I had mine set to 7000 and I've only seen 6800 which was perfect for me.
Again, don't know about power gains...I haven't done the dyno thing.
I don't think the powerloader will do much for a Z06. They mostly improve automatics by taking out the torque management during shifts. I would spend the money on other mods.
The Powerloader on my 2000 6 speed convertible made a huge difference in performance, probably only 10 hp but much better torque through the rpm range.
HELL, I been waiting for my power loader ll just for a reprogram now for near 4 mounths now and still waiting???WTF??? A bunch of folks out there have gotten NEW units, but I can't get a friggin reprogram. When I got my PLll for my Z06 the first time it seemed to do VERY WELL. Now that I've done mods and need the PLll to correct the computer for the mods I can't get it? Now I hear that Steve is going back into the hospittal for more surgury?? I'll never see that piece of S---. Good luck OM Get every thing you will ever want the first time around! :mad
