Default Rotors question

I'm looking at new rotors and pads and shopping on the corvettegarage online store. I noticed an AC Delco drilled/slotted set of rotors for $399 and a Baer Decelarotor set for $469. Not sure what the differences are, does anyone know if the Baer is worth the $70 extra (they look the same in the pictures).

Also pretty much decided on the Hawk HPS pad at $168, is that an o.k. price. Is CorvetteGarage the place to buy these items?

I agree with Hawk HPS pads, they are great.

Try:

Some guys have been using these lately, great price and the performance rotors are zinc plated.

Hawk pads are top quality...For a good price on good drilled and slotted, zinc electroplated rotors, try www.rotorpros.com I got a set of 4 from them at a great price and they are ROUND and BALANCED! As with any zinc plated rotor, you have to pay special attention to wear off the zinc in the pad wiping surface area and get the pads properly bedded...I will buy this brand again when I wear the current set out.

Pic below was with stock OEM rotors...note rust color behind wheels at rotor hat..Now they are bright & silvery! Sorry I don't have a current photo..

I have the AC Delco drilled and slotted rotor upgrade. They're not a bad rotor, you just have to paint the rotor hats because they will eventually get rusty looking.

Thanks to everyone for the replies. I like the dimple/slotted performance rotors on this site, a little less money than the other two and probably less prone to cracking since they aren't drilled through, but still get the "bling" effect with the dimples. I may just go with these and the Hawk pads.

Interesting... I just finished putting the AC/Delco performance crossdrilled/slotted rotors on my car (with Durastop ceramic pads) and my rotors came with black painted hats front and rear. I'm hoping the black holds up - everything looks so nice and new! I also sprung for new red Z06 calipers and just did the whole job at once. I refinished the caliper brackets with high heat black and the final result is just what I was after.

I started with Hawk XPS on my '93 then switched to the DuraStop's, I liked them a lot better and will use the Delco's on my '01 when the time comes.

I have found CG to be one of the highest priced vendor compared to others for the same product.
