I got the vert out, top down and looking good. Made a run into town.
Fun time shifting gears listening to engine wind up and the exhaust talking, very nice. Hit the interstate, lots of traffic and it narrows to two lanes for work they are doing in the median. All of a sudden I see this wet, grey water across the highway. The cars in front are throwing this fine mist and when I hit the water it sprays down both sides up the back on the exhaust tips and tale lights. It looked like I had been muddin'. Some even splashed up on the interior. A friend was looking at the vette in its all dirty condition and said "if that is worst that happens I have nothing to gripe about." He is right, it is a matter of perspective. I went by one of those brushless car washes and got the car sorta clean. Also found out the top has some leaks when high pressure water is directed right on the top side window seal area
On a better note C6 and a C4 both waved at me. The wave is alive in Little Rock, AR
Thanks for giving a place the whine/vent
Like heck it wont! I read somewhere that these cars will shrink if they get wet, and should only be driven during dry conditions. Yup, Im sure I read that somewhere!!
And the car didn't even melt. I tell people all the tome ot is ok to get it wet once in a while....
Your right of course. It was that the concrete dust mixed with the water drie into a grey covering that looked a lot worse that it was. I concerned about the concrete and its ingregients affecting the paint.
Just another of life's litte reminders of things could always be worse.
At least I have a vette to be concerned about and enjoy.
Yeah....those construction sites can be a mess....was driving up to Manchester Conn. and they had a hose going over the barrier.....of course it had quite a leak and of course I could not change lanes and of course I had the TOP DOWN !........and of course.....it did not melt......just pissed me off a bit thats all.
Worst that's happened to me was passing a cattle truck when it seems that 15 of the cows musta decided to pee at the same time. Holy crap, what a mess! I've had it happen on my Harley, too. Damn, I hate cattle trucks! I'm almost afraid to pass one anymore.

Its probably better that it was wet. The thing I hate worse about those barricaded medians is that road debris and sand doesn't have a place to go, so it just riccochets off the barricades giving you that sandblasting sound hitting your car.
