Life is hard with a 1 car garage. Same Z06, new owner with a tight fit.

From Z06 OCD:

Garage, I mean... Here is what you see under "shoebox" in Webster's...

If I didn't have a window valet, I don't think I could even get into it without some gymnastics training.
Here is mine as of now. I will be clearing some things to the shed out back.

That's huge compared to my shed for my 63SWC back in Md.

Now it's 25X25

Mine is in an unattached single car garage. The way I measure it, is I can easily park in the center and open the doors "a click and a 1/2" -sometimes more if I go slowly.

I can scoot around in my detailing chair and clean er up nice.

While I fortunately don't have to suffer a small garage, when my father parks his XLR over too far it definitely makes getting in / out a pain in the ***. I've found dropping the window makes a HUGE difference in how hard it is to get out. Lately, I've gotten tired of trying to squeeze in / out of my vette, so I've been just backing into the garage instead, there's plenty of space between my ride and the Barracuda, so I don't worry about hitting that rather valuable ride..

My garage is really small, I can't even open the door half way if I am parked to one side, It was built in 1943.

My garage is 16 x 11. I have a piece of foam on the wall I have to rest the nose against to close the garage door. That gives me 1 inch at the rear.

Here is my unattached one car garage. It is tight, but workable as long as I plan ahead and move slowly while doing any sort of major repair. It is a bit like being a mechanic on a German U-boat, without the water

And I agree - any garage is better than no garage. I'm thankful to have this one.

Thanks! I'm still working on it to get some minor flaws out. Some RO work with Griot's Polish 3 but mostly lots of hand work with Griot's Fine Hand Polish, 3M Imperial Hand Glaze, and Blitz carnauba wax.

I built my house last year. the original house plan called for a 2 car attached garage (30x22). I had my architect add another single attached garage to the plan. This single garage (16x28) was specifically designed for the vette. I'll post pix when I complete the floor.

I've got a fairly small 2 car garage, and my wife insists on parking her restored 67 VW bus in there.
I suggested that she move it out to the driveway to give the Vette more room in the garage.
She said,no,I've got a better idea-why don't YOU move out to the driveway,to give Me more room in the house?

I'm not going to bring that up again...I figure squeezing in and out of the Vette will keep me in shape
