Default Need help,

I am trying to replace the hatch lid with a new one I bought. I have tried several times today and can,t seem to get it adjusted for a good fit.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to do this?

You need to be a lot more specific than you are, as I have no idea of hatch lid you're talking about ?

Targa Top ? Trunk Lid, Hatchback Lid ????

Sorry, It's the Hatchback lid with glass. My old one had a big crack and was lifted at passenger side corner. I bought a replacement here on the forum and I am trying to install it myself. I just can't get it adjusted for a good fit.

You got any pictures ? What seems to be the problem ? Off to the left, right, too high, etc ...

Easiest way deal with alignment is to remove shocks and the rear catch hooks and lightly tighten screws at the top and then close the hatchback gently and work from there to align..

You can then gently lift ope with the shock to put pressure on and shift your adjustments and tighten the top retainer hardware and then install the lower catches again.

The catches are adjustable too.

no pics, I think it is to low at the top. It is pinching the weatherstripping.
I tried loosing the two nuts on each side and pushing in from rear and then tightening them. Did not work. Are any spacers needed?
I will try your suggestion tomorrow after work.
