First, It has been a long time since I have posted. I still get on and read sometimes. Several years ago I got my first vette and was looking for advice and you guys (gals) came thru for me and a big way. Thanks! Now after many $$$$ she is really all MINE! PAID OFF! Now here is my new issue:
I'll make this short as I can. Today while driving on an Interstate all of a sudden my Active handling came up and traction control kicked in and I was in for a ride! The car was compesating for something but I was going straight! Cars were weaving around me as I tried to pull over! Damn I was scarred as S!@#! I took it staight to dealer who told me I need a LF Wheel Sensor and a some kinda Yaw Sensor that is located in Steering Colum?? Then came the price $1500.00!!!! Ouch! I almost died for the second time in one day! My question is this, Can I get these parts somewhere else for cheaper? I went to a local parts store and they had a hard time finding what I needed. I came home and said......wait a minute CORVETTE FORUM is the place i need to be! So here I am once again. Please help w any and all advice. Oh I do have a "Corvette" Mechanic that can work on this for much cheaper labor. I forgot about him till today. I called his old number and he is still around and can do it for me. Thank God!
Codes pulled at dealership C1225 C1243 C1282 then it said code 1243 cleared.
C1225= RF Excessive Wheel Speed Variation, C1243= BPMV Pump Motor Stalled, I couldn't find a code C1282. I don't know exactly what that means but here you are.
