Thanks for the help, I am having the coup windshield installed, I have a hud and the insurance company is paying accordingly. The guys have been out here but there was an issue, the moldings that have to be pulled off of the driver's side were glued on and the glass guys didn't want to jack anything up so I am taking it to the dealership so the pros can break it tomorrow.
The dealership glass guy said that the glued on parts are supposed to be like that and they are a one use part, they need to be replaced when the windshield is replaced. has anyone other than me heard or delt with this?

My 1st HUD replacement had severe distortion in the lower L/H corner. We noticed it before the install. I had the weatherstripping replaced at the same time (convertible) Rubber was over $400 bucks! Part of the windshield replacement. State Farm zero deductable (don't know if they even write it anymore?)
I think I remember reading somewhere....maybe Corvette Magazine. That the ZO6 and the verts both have the lighter weight windshields.
I also have read that there is not really any difference with the HUD but I hope I never have to find out !
