hey guys i have no idea whats causin it possibly that it happens on humid days im not really sure that that is the reason but i took my z home from work last night and it was pretty humid out but damn did it feel underpowered. im wonderin if this happens to anyone else the car just feels so sluggish it was pretty depressing...its not my imagination either my car usually gets to 60 pretty quick definitly under 4 seconds its modded like crazy h/c/i over 460rwhp!! last night it seemed to take like 4 seconds to 40...anyone have any inpuit?
Only when it's humid? Or could it be you just started to notice now?
The first thing that comes to mind is your intake. Have you checked to see if there is crap partially blocking filter? Good luck.
Don't know if this will help or not but I have noticed when you drive something that is fast, it seems like as time goes by it doesn't seem as fast. In reality you are just getting used to it but it is just as fast as the first time you drove it. Make sense?
well i was basically on empty but i had to put 92 in it...anyway heres my intake setup...
intake bein in the front right there im sure could get dirty but i checked and its all clean...as far as humidity when its humid it seems to be sluggish... i will take vids of sppedometer when i get a chance and you guys can tell me cause i honestly feel it...i really NEVER put my car in redline partially cause im scarewd of gettin pulled over lol but i will redline it for my vids...its tuned with 30 degrees of timing not sure what a/f ratio is...wouldnt i throw codes if knock sensor went off?
I've been driving muscle cars for almost 40 years and I notice that I would get used to the power and sometimes engine would feel sluggish, but I think much of that feeling is caused by familiarity. You just get used to it.
Of course, colder, denser air will make more power than hot, humid air. So if you drove your car on a cool, dry night it would make great power. Then if you drove next day and it was hot and humid out, you can expect power levels to be down noticeably.........
oh ok...ive heard that b4 but i didnt expect to really be able to notice it ya know seems like its losin power...i think i might know what will help...drivin a bone stock 02 z and then drivin my car
well im still runnin off the original stock MAF do u guys think that could be a problem? my car is h/c/i full exhaust etc. but i will clean off the maf just to be sure...hey can i clean it with alcohol and qtip?
