2000 vette service active handling
i get the messages "service active handling...service vehicle soon" on the message center of my vette. the light for the tcs and active handling (same light) also stays on.
has anyone had a similar problem? if so how did you fix it?

It could be a simple fix or the abs module has gone bad. Mine did after a person backed into my vette...(parked) and the module was 1,200 US. You may not need to replace it, could be a bad sensor, etc...just follow what the bro above said and see what codes are being thrown.

there should be a letter in front of the number, like p1283 or c1283....

I am guessing it is a c, which means:
DTC C1283 Excessive Time to Center Steering
Your steering wheel position sensor could have a bad connection, or could be going bad would be my guess...
I'd reset the codes and watch for it to happen again...
