Shift **** Retainer
I know this is going to sound stupid, in fact i searched all forums and no one appears to asked this before its so stupid :P
How do you remove the retianer key that holds the shoft **** on? I got the cover off and i can not get the retianer out for the life of me..

It is here. Do a search on aftermarket shift ***** or C6 shift ***** or C6 Z06 shift *****. Threads with people swapping ***** is usually where the demon key is mentioned.

What worked for me was using a bit of WD40 around the demon key. Let it penetrate a few minutes then using a vise grip, twist it slightly in a rocking motion. Then use a hammer, tap the vise grip upward to release the demon key.
