Whats wrong here
Just discovered on my newly purchased '99 coupe that the passenger side front wheel house liner (the lower one) was completely ,missing. I went to Chevy, ordered the replacement, and it doesn't fit. Reconfirmed with the parts guy that I got the right piece and it is. The portion that lines the wheel well seems to fit perfectly, but the piece that runs horizontally won't line up. It appears to be an exact match to the drivers side (mirror image) but there is a inset portion that is not allowed to lay flat with the frame because of a brace. Any ideas please. Is this brace adjustable. To get the car in the air I think the area I need to work on will be blocked by the jack.

Try to figure the brace out before you allow it to be moved. That's a no-brainer, but really important. Other than that, I haven't worked much in these areas, and I am sure someone else will come along.
