I HAVE A BLACK 01, WOULD LIKE TO BUY ELECTRON BLUE 02.WHAT WOULD BE THE TRADE IN VALUE ON MINE ? NEW ONE IS 50,900,THEY OFFERED ME 39 FOR MINE .ANY INPUT PLEASE
Not sure about the trade-in value but I just went through a lot of shopping for a ZO6 and found 01 prices varried between $41K to $49K, all in the 5 to 10 thousand mile range. From what I've read in other threads it really depends on where you are located. The $39K sure seems low to me but that depends on the mileage and condition of your car.
Have you already arranged the purchase of the 02? Is the $50,900 before the rebate?
Good luck!
I WAS JUST FEELING THEM OUT WITH REBATE IT WAS 2000 LOWER.I GOT THE 01 FROM KERBECK I CALLED THEM THEY ARE DISCOUNTING THEM 1-2000.DEPENDING WHATS IN STOCK I PAID FULL STICKER IN SEPT 2000LATER IN AUG THEY WERE 3-4000 LESS. THATS BECAUSE WORD SLIPPED OUT ABOUT 20HP THIS ONE IS AAA1 (MINE) THANKS FOR ANSWER
Dave the 50k price on the new one is screwing you to the wall.......get at LEAST a $4500.00 TOTAL rebate/discount or you are not getting a deal.................& the 39k for you're trade.
The Devil is in the details......trust me...............find out the doc fee's, and taxes, etc............BEFORE you cut the deal............ :mad
You have to figure that the only reason they are giving you 39k for your '01 is cause they are ripping you so bad on the '02.
Think about it this way: Is it worth $11,900 (maybe $9,900 if they count the rebate) to move up 1 year?? NO was the answer I came up with for me(they offered me $36k for my 1900 mile '01, and the '02 for $45K, still $9k for 1 year and 1900 miles)
For a Trade-in $39000 is pretty good. If you want or need more, you will need to sell it retail to another private party. And you should at least get $2000 off plus the $2002 rebate on the new 02. Otherwise, go to another dealer.
This is the problem, there ain't no free lunch............
You want a GOOD deal??, or a good LOOKING deal??
In order for them to do $39, you will probably not get more than $1500.00 off, plus rebate if lucky........
A good deal would be #$38k, and a REAL $2k off( remember the darn hidden fee's), and the rebate........
If you can cut this deal, w/out taking it in the shorts on doc fee's and special prep fee's........you will have made a GOOD deal......any LESS, and you don't have a GOOD deal..........
Either way you look at it your going to take a big hit in the deal remember the old saying when you drive it off the lot it drops.... The other guys answer is exactly on target about 50k. Definitly too high You probably need at least a 5k swing in your favor not to take a beating :boxing :seeya
