Just put on my new wheels and tires. And hit the twisties.. It was only 31 degrees out side. The only other tire I have to compare with is the stock goodyear F 1 supercar tire. Well that would be like comparing apples and oranges. I hit gieger grade Ive been driving this road for 30 years. There were several corners that I would break loose on with the stock tires. Tonight was really fun.. The NT05 seem to track really well through the turns and I was pushing them and not once did it break loose. Cant wait for a warm day, maybe this weekend theres some kinda scca event at the stead airport. my car is an '03 ZO6 procharged Inter cooled, 1 7/8" long tubes, 3" cross pipe, slp loudmouths, meth inj. at 2 lbs boost 4" pulley making 9 LBS. of boost.
Sweet man, I miss heading to Virginia City! Maybe you can run your car in the Hill Climb this year. I was gonna go with these tires but I went with the RII's and I am impressed with them. I will try these once they come out with some 305's for the rear.
The tread on my 295X35-18 NT-05 rear tires is almost exactly 1" narrower than my 295X35-18 Michelin PS-2s. The NT-05s do however have significantly better traction, but are only 6/32" tread depth, rather than 10/32" for the Michelins. Something to consider in a street tire.

I agree about the 1" difference. I noticed about the same difference in width from my GY SC's to the NT05's.
That being said, the NT05's are FAR superior to the GY SC's in every other aspect. As the weather has gotten warmer down here, they continue to impress even more.
The 1/8" difference in tread depth probably does sacrifice rain performance over the Michelin... but they are still superior to the SC's in the wet.
I wanted a combo tire that would give me the best street performance, yet would allow me to thrash the car on a road course on the weekends without a swap. So far the NT05 works perfectly.
Hardcore track time with the NT05 in t-minus 4 weeks and counting!

I wonder if they're consistently narrower than other brands? I need an 18/19 combo, and I see this model is available in 335-30/19"s. If these would squeeze on 11" wide rims, traction should be excellent!
I'm still torn between these and the T1R. The only real reason I want these tires is looks. I doubt I'll have any time to hit a road course. That and they're like 100 bucks cheaper than the Toyos. 500 cheaper than a set of PS2s.

YES a 335 Nitto would love that 11... do not hesitate.. Al Nittos are small for some reason. Im ordering some 315s for my 9" wheels (they are really like 285s).
Im also debating on running the 335 NT's on a 19x11 wheel. I am currently running 315 Pirellis on the stock 10.5 wheel and it fits great. There is at least 3/4 of an inch between the tire and my inner fender so Theres room to spare. The 335 nt 05 is only .7 inches wider than my P zero 315s according to there website. Does anyone know if the 19x11 repros moves the extra half inch inboard? These would look massive from behind!!

My new 335/30-19 NT05's are sitting in the garage at home waiting for the new CCW 505a wheels, I measured the inside of the tires (where it mounts to the wheels) it came to 12 inches, On a 11" wheel it may balloon some, I'm putting them on 13" wheels.
