Rocking seat returns??

Rocking seat returns??

Has any one ever heard of someone doing the rocking seat fix and it returning in a couple years. I have probably only driven 12,000 miles at most since I fixed it. Just started again a couple weeks ago. I used the nylon washers. If I have to do the same fix again, I will be using metal washers and filing them to fit....

You will probably find that one or both of the nylon washers cracked . I have to do mine again . Thinking of making the spacers out of aluminum .

I had the "sliding seat" and fixed it with the nylon washers. A year later, my seat rocks, like a rocking chair. I guess I'll have to take a look at it again.

Mine feels exactly like it did before, just not as bad. I am very disappointed in the design of these seats. There is no reason a power seat should fail like this. I have more miles and better seats in my 2000 Grand Prix GTP. If these washers are cracked I will either buy washers or get something machined out of aluminum.

I would probably about trade someone straight up for a non-power driver seat rail...
