Default Service intervals

Hey everybody, my first post here. I'm looking at a 2001 C5 Coupe with ZO-6 wheels/brakes, 49,000 miles. I want to get a general idea of what to expect for regular maintenance and I haven't had much luck with the Search function.

How often does GM recommend oil changes? What should I expect to pay a shop for the service (not much of a DIYer)? How often for plugs? Any other general maintenance info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everybody.

There is an oil monitor to tell you when to change the oil, works out for me about every 8K.

Contact your local Chevy dealer for labor rates.

As far as operating maintenance change oil when the DIC tells you and fill it with gas. Check the air in the tires. New tires probably every 25K, depending on driver.

If it is a stick probably every year replace clutch fluid again depending on driver (do a search for ranger's procedures).

Keep the washer fluid full. Power steering fluid check when changing oil. Air filter every 25K. Coolant replace every 100k or 5 years whichever occurs first.

Wash it often and use high quality polish. Use high quality micro fiber towels.

That's about all I can think of.

Enjoy driving it.
