Two of the best and trouble free cars I've owned have been BMW's. 525i and presently a 745Li The 745Li came from BMW with a 6 year 100k mile bumper to bumper warranty. BMW's are extremely well built vehicles and a real pleasure to drive.

Very interesting post -- they are such different cars. The older I get, the less likely I would ever buy a Porsche, MB or BMW. Just seems the bang for the buck is not there -- and the repair bills make the Vette look like a Corolla.

If you're ready for a change, get the Benz, you can always buy another Vette in the future.

Very different cars to drive. Vette is a thrill a minute, but the Benz is smooth and a real pleasure to drive as well. Both great vehicles.
Watch repair costs on the Benz though.
