I WOULD APPRECIATE ALL INPUT!!!! I NEED TO KNOW OWNERSHIP COSTS, MAINTENANCE COSTS, HOW OFTEN I NEED AN OIL CHANGE, THE WORKS!!!! PLEASE! (FIRST TIME CORVETTE OWNER)

The ownership cost and maintenance is no more than any other car, just read the owners manual and you will be fine. If you don't have one, do a search, somewhere on this forum is a link to a downloadable version.

STOP SHOUTING! Like any vehicle overall costs depends upon the vehicle. Is the vette going to be a daily driver? If so, how many miles a day. Or is it going to be a weekend warrior? Costs can vary so much. I went through a spate of electrical problems with my C5 which, while inexpensive to finally fix, was a total PITA. The C6 meanwhile has been problem free so far (2-years in June) and is being prepped for a CA to Mt Rushmore, SD and back trip in July. Will you do maintenance yourself? Oil changes, etc.? Unless something really goes wrong C5s are pretty bulletproof and a good, well-cared for, used C5 should have had all or most issues taken care of since you're looking at 2000-2004. Plus you have the support of this forum. Good luck with your search. Try to buy the newest C5 you can find and don't be scared off with higher mileage but well cared for vettes.

hey everybody thanks for the input!!! Can wait to get back to the states and start searching!!!!(sorry, but I meant to write "will be" first time Vette owner. I figured the best place to learn corvettes inside and out was a corvette forum...always wanted one) hey independent1, where in NorVa? And great CAPS LOCK scene
