Default Axle Back Help..Titanium or nice Axle Back

Hi I'm looking for an axle back set up for a C5 FRC that's going to have an 442ci LS7 installed in it. My tuner/builder says he has tested stock titanium Z06 exhaust to about 600 hp with little restriction. He says he doesn't know if it would cause to much restriction for an engine that will make 670-700hp Normally Aspirated. He and I both like the Titanium exhaust because it is light. However if it causes to much restriction then I would probably be better off with a nice Axle Back set up. I really like the look and sound of Corsas and kinda like the idea of their new Corsa Extreme system. Does anyone know if any aftermarket axle back companies make titanium exhaust or is it all just stainless steel? Would I be better off with an aftermarket axle back because of the restriction of a stock system? Anyone know a good place to purchase a good system aftermarket system? I have been looking at Maryland Speed but what are some other options. Thanks

Stock titanium with bypass mod and you will be happy. Do a search for the mod for examples.

I am putting down 700/700 through the stock Ti. I know there are others putting down more than that. I would def go with the Ti because it is so quiet at idle and part throttle. That's a good thing when you are over 18 yrs old.

I'm running the stock Ti with elec. cutouts. I don't know if it's a restriction as I never dynoed with the cutouts closed.
The car is suprisingly quiet when they are closed and attention grabbing with them open.

Ti is a nice piece. If you're going to go aftermarket at that power level, I'd consider a full 3" mid section for your headers with LG's Big 3 exhaust....3" alll the way from the collectors to the exhaust tips. I also hear it's not that loud. You can't beat the weight of the stock system though.

I am about to install modded Ti on my 03 Z. Got out the scales to see how much they weighed. Each side weighed about 14# for a total of 28 #. That is cool.

Yah, there's only two situations to get rid of the Ti:

1) You're at reasonable stock levels and you replace it with brandx 2.5" system becasue you need to have it louder

2) You're making crazy power so you should replace it with a 3" system.

To the OP, if you're not going stock, then I don't see merit in buying anything other than a 3" system...at least at your power level.

Exactly. There are no gains to be had other than looks and loudness for anything imo.
