c6 wheels on c5 fitment
i already got a nice set of used base c6 (05') wheels and tires.
overall diameter is actually within .1" front and rear.
couple questions on clearance though.
c5 and c6 front wheels have the same width and offset, so fitment is a no brainer there.
rear wheels are:
c5- 18x9.5 +63
c6- 19x10 +79
so, c6 wheels on a c5 gives you 22mm less inner clearance and the wheel is sunken in 10mm further away from rear quarter.
i used to have various nissans. (s13, s14, z33) i know what to do with those cars, but am not sure with my c5.
these things use a lot of fiberglass, right?
are the rear quarters fg? front fenders?
i had planned to buy 1" bolt on spacers for just the rear.
1" = ~25mm
if the rear wheels are 15mm further out than stock would i run into rubbing issues, or would it be fine?
matter of fact, could i go with a bigger spacer?
can the front be spaced at all without rubbing problems?
thanks, guys
with a 1" spacer (which i already ordered) it will be 15mm further out than stock c5 wheel
i knew corvette guys weren't gonna be too into good wheel fitment (closest to fenders without rubbing) but you didnt even read my whole post!
thanks anyways, guys. i'll post pics of the results soon enough for the next guy who searches
ps- im also gonna max out lowering the car on the stock bolts. about 1", right?
this is temporary anyway until the c6 z06 spyders repros come out in silver in c5 offsests 18/19
