I'm happy with how it came out. I can't seem to find Striping Tape anywhere around here, so I had to just layer pieces of tape on top of eachother. I think I'll give the paint a week to dry and then do some touch-ups. That'll let me just order the tape online somewhere.
I ended up using Satin Black and sanded using 320grit.
For the most part though I'm really happy with how it came out. I did notice that the bumper had been repainted at some point and the PO didn't tell me about that, so I wonder what else is behind there.
I also managed to find a can of VHT Nightshade at Pep-Boys, so I'm debating doing my lights.
Still on the edge about Nightshade.. on a different note, any idea how long until I can wash the car? It's been raining and will continue to rain till Sunday, so it would suck to not be able to drive between today and Sunday.
Looks good You should be okay washing it after the weather clears. If you want to be overly cautious you could let the car sit outside on a sunny day and then wash.
They just aren't as peel and stick as they look. I ended up using a little clear silicon under them, just put a small bead and stick them then tape till it dried. They do look go though.
Went back with some striping tape and touched it up.. looks awesome now! Nice round edges.
Very happy I pulled the spray paint trigger on this one. I'm hoping to get the Spectre Works rear by this summer, so I'll def have them paint it the same style.
So in retrospect, I feel like I could've done a better job. I feel like an idiot now for messing this up when everyone else gets it right.
Is there anyway I can fix it sans just going to a bodyshop and having them respray the hole thing? It's really just the left side that I noticed has a little wave to it. Mannn, I feel like an idiot now..
