I found one and pulled the trigger. I got a '02 vert blk on blk, but I settled for the auto trany. I did look at quite a few but the one 6 spd I found got sold before I could check it out.
So now having fun go'n fast and buy'n gas, woohoo. Not as fast as my old 69 Camero, but this is stock the Camero was not.
Thanks to everyone who dropped me a line on C5's the goods and the bads. I did do a bit of reading and I feel like this helped in my quest.
So now what are the cheap go-fast tricks for a stocker?
Back in the day (60's) we used call some squrrels, that would go out and buy the suppossed go fast stuff right down to the fake hood pins. But I have to admit, I'm feel'n a little squrrelly and wanna go fast. It's amazzing to me that vet stuff comes with the big price tag. People gotta be retiring off some of these prices for headers and exhast, just unbeleivable. I rant too much.
Woohoo, it's been along time com'in. Thanks again to those that passes on the info.

Congrats on the new Vette!
As far as settling for an A4 and not getting a MN6, just spice it up. Drop in new gears 3:42's or 3:73's and a 2800 or 3200 stall converter and you'll wonder why you ever wanted a six speed.
