I had to go to Burlington VT for business and sense it was a beautiful day I took the vette. It's about a 300 mile trip one way, it was a very nice drive lots of hills and curves. I got 28mpg!! I thought that was awesome considering all the hills. Just wanted to share.
Nothing sweeter than a long road trip in a vette. Well maybe one thing. Last summer wife and I drove from Texas to S. California. I thought it would be tiring, but we had more fun. The speed limit on I40 is 75, pushed it a bit and drove 80, never got stopped.
Cruising Highway One, in a Vette, with the top off, is so cool. Spent a week at Newport. Here's the crazy part, i'm not sure how accurate the computer is with the MPG. I never reset the computer for the entire trip home, drove 80, and got 30MPG!!!! It usually gets in the high 20's. You gotta love these cars.
Oh, and the horsepower boost you get at sea level is surprising.
