are you sure you want to do that? do you really want to sacrafice your ride quality for an additional 1/2". cut the bushings and you are at the point of no return. do you have the longer bolts for the rear? do you want to hear a cluncking noise up front all the time? is your driveway approach curb cut? speed bumps are almost impossible. do you have frame rail savers or wheels up front to help with rise? good luck with that........been there done it, looks cool but rides like a haywagon

I like how my z06 drives without the front bolts at all. Yes the clunk is kinda annoying but its nothing I cant live it and its not all the time just every once in a while over big bumps.. Oh and I have no trouble with speed bumps and I even have an aci front spoiler.. I think it looks great all the way down

Well, its complete. I finished acouple of hours ago. What a pain in the @$$. Not going to lie the ride is not bad at all, if anything it feels more controlable. Thats me though. 1/2"? I definately got atleast 1 inch and it was defiantely worth it b/c my front was higher then the rear and it was driving me crazy. Now the front is lower then the rear which I have to just lower the rear about an 1" and it'll be perfect. I do have the longer bolt in the rear which came with the Z. I havent heard the cluncking noise yet so well see. I do have frame savers and I'll be putting those on very soon and speed bumps even before I lowered it, I made sure no speed bumps. I'll keep ya on the update.

You got a 1" drop by just cutting the bushings? The bushings themselves are only about 7/8" tall so you must have removed them?

I cut mine and got the 3/8" additional I was looking for. Zero "clunking" and harshness as the person above said would happen. Many many people have done this so don't worry about it.

Just as an FYI, its your car, but the car is supposed to be a little higher in the rear. I think its like a 1-2 degree difference.

I couldnt get around to take a photo but I'll do so ASAP.

TrademeyourC5... The before picture you cut the front bushings? Doesnt look like my Z. My Z looks like your After shot, which you said you remove the bolts? Sweet looking ride... gotta love the black!

No the before was with bushings the bolts lowered all the way.. The after is just talking the bolts out which gives u about 1/8" over cutting the bushings if that.

Thanks for the comments guys.. She is being sold as we speak

It semms like some days my car looks lower then other days. About 3 days ago I could barley make 2 fingers and now it goes in easier. The wheel well and the tire of course. Whats wrong with that?

I agree. No bolts in front 8" rears. I got rid of the noise by installing a 1/8" strip of rubber where the bushings were. No noise.

Removing the front bolts did look safe when I was down there. Now for the little peice of rubber, cant it fall out? AND do you have stock shock?
