Default Help! Driver Side Window Power gone...

Went thru a drive thru Friday on my way home from work and when I went to pull away my window would not roll back up. No power to the mirrors, locks or the memory and cannot roll down passenger side.

When I got home I used the passenger side controls and the window and locks still work on that side. Checked my power seat on driver side and it's still working ok as well.

I tired the key FOB and passenger side still locks, unlocks, but not on the driverside.

Checked Fuse 34 & 35 and they are fine

Pulled off the driverside door panel and checked all the connections and everything seems to be ok. Pulled back the rubber boot between the door and A pillar and connections seem ok as well.

I had this happen about six months ago. The next morning when I went to check out what was wrong it was working again and no problems until this past Friday.

Anyone else have this happen? Any tips on how to fix?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it possible that it's just the driver side power window switch that needs to be replaced?

Did a little searching in the Tech forum and found this fix.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...cs-inside.html

Went to my car and pulled the wires out of the boot, messed with the connector and the driver side door controls work again. If you follow the instructions you will have remove the black connector and solder the wires directly together. I will still have to do this, but at least window is now up.

Hope this helps anyone having the same issue.

Disconnect and reconnect these. That solved my problem recently.

There is an excellent long thread on the forums about doing repairs on the cheap for these problems...

Mine does this every once in a while. I just grab the rubber conduit that the wires run from the body in between the door and give it a shake. Always works for me. I guess I have a bad connection somewhere lol.

I searched and found the same thread this morning. Nothing like finding something wrong with your car at 4am while trying to get to work. I had the reduced power message, no drivers side anything, esc.... Removed half of the boot and gave the harness a good wiggle. Fixed and now at work!!! Thanks to all the posters on CF!! I'll do a final fix this weekend. Thanks to all!!!
