the Solstice is nuts!!! power to weight ratio is through the roof.. driving that thing was like strapping on an acme rocket to your back.. no traction.. from 3k rpm and up... car came in on wimpy 245/40/18's... ha!
I forget which car mag did a test of a LS powered solstice vs. the stock version, but the V8 changed the overall dynamics of the car so much that it was actually slower because it couldn't handle the change in balance which totally destroyed its handling. Mind you, that is a sweet looking ride, I think of them as baby C5's and the saturn skys as baby C6's.

The Silver Solstice above is a WICKED looking ride. I love it !
Love the power too. I have not seen one in person before, but a friend said he saw a Mallett LS powered Solstice. He said he heard it before he saw it and he wsa just shocked a Solstice could sound like that. Car did not match the sound sorta feeling... . Not to be toyed with though.
