Installing APSIS Splash Guards..many pics..
Check the parts first, make sure that you are satisfied.
I didn't like the fact that the lower screw was to be mounted so high on the fender so I decided to change it so that it wouldn't be as noticed.
It turns out that it probably wouldn't of mattered, once you are committed to have them on, you will probably leave them on.
The new screw position was on a small angle, so I chamferred the new screw hole so it would mount flush.

The new hole is closer to the edge.

Take off the red tape, then reinstall it. I put a piece of tape over the egde to make it easier to peel back off again.

After a trial fit, I used this brush and paint to mark the location of the new screw hole. Touched the end of the brush to paint, ran it through the new hole in the guard, and there was my mark to drill.

Drill slowly, APSIS sent me screws and I used a 5/32's drill bit.

Now clean the area where the guard will go.

The hole is now more under the car than where APSIS had it.

I marked where the splash guard would go and where the adhesive promoter will go, with a felt pen. It's easily wiped off.

I then put the adhesive promoter on the fender.
I started the screw on the bottom with the red tape still on the guard, making sure Not to touch the guard to the car. Put the screw most of the way in.
Held up on the bottom of the guard, grabbed my piece of tape that I had put back on the red liner and gently pulled the liner up from the bottom as I kept the guard right against the fender and worked my way up so that there would be no gaps. Then tightened the bottom screw.

I wasn't satisfied with the gap at the upper end of the guard although it was small, that is why there are two more screws in the kit. I decided to use them. Remember, this requires one more hole in each side.
Hold the guard against the fender with one hand and drill the 5/32's hole in the hole provided in the splash guard.

Tighten this by hand, snug, not to tight.

See, No gaps.
The reason for the splash guards.........

This might be out there already from somebody but I figured it wouldn't hurt to put it out there anyway ............. bob

I got a call from them on Monday telling me they are back ordered on the rears for the C5. They have the fronts but wont have the rears till first week of May they said.
I seen them on a few of the cars up there and they do look nice. All the ones I seen were painted to match the car. I will probably do it that way. Hope there worth the $400.
Steve .

Secondly, I would like to show you all some different angles and pics of the splash guards on the car, but, right now it is sleeting out here in Michigan and the car won't be out for a short time, maybe this weekend. I'll try, promise.
As for the quality of the splash guards, I was extremely happy with the fit and quality. There was a tiny mark at the tip on one of them, it looked like the paint was rubbed off about 3/8's of an inch and the white from the material, ( I believe fiberglass), was showing. A little flat black to touch that up when I get the chance, maybe a picture too.
As for the wheels, these are from Corvette Wheels. Jason Hunkler kept me informed as the rears were back-ordered, less than a week to get in. Total of two weeks from order to receiving them. Great service and a real nice look, almost went with the C-6 Z06 look, I thought that these looked more exotic, (expensive), and different from any around here. I will post more pictures when the weather breaks....soon.
Corvette-Wheels had a sale on these, $850.00 delivered to my door, they look real nice, the rears, 305/35/18 Nitto 555 RII Extremes, on 10.5x18's are five pounds heavier than the original run-craps on 9.5x18
Hope this answers your questions, if not, post or PM me .........bob.
Gohard, or don't go at all!
