Underhood black chrome??
I'm feeling the need to finish off my underhood upgrades.
My personal opinion is keep it simple (not overdue the FLASH). As such I've stayed with small chrome additions, just enough to accent. Now I have the throttle body, the idler pulley, and the alternator left to complete my underhood "cleanup". (and a battery cover)
My caps are bright chrome.
I'm thinking bright chrome alternator and such will be too much.
I'm not really a fan of the cover pieces. They look too much like cover-ups.
Does anyone provide these parts in black chrome?
Anyone have photos of these pieces on the car?
What about painted or powder coated black?
I agree about keeping the chrome accents to a minumum to help the engine pop, however I think chrome fender covers would look good in your engine bay combined with the existing carbon fiber accents.
You mentioned your not crazy about covers, so another option is painted covers that are gloss black or body colored. That way they don't look as "aftermarket" as the chrome pieces. Just an idea.
