Default crossover pipe question...

On an otherwise stock C5 Z, what crossover pipe is considered best to go with using an aftermarket cat-back exhaust (Borla, B&B, Corsa, etc)? Maninfolds are stock and will be keeping stock cats. I remember reading something about Bassani x-pipe being best choice as some have mentioned a slight DECREASE in HP with some of the other brand x-pipes in this configuration.

On a stock car with an aftermarket cat back you will not notice a difference at all between different brands and if you put it on a dyno and did a run with each different X pipe, I doubt that there would be much of a difference. Just buy the one that is the cheapest.

I always have used the same brand of X-Pipe as the catback system.

I couldn't find one to match my B&B Bullets though, (there probably is one out there now). I bought a Magnaflow pipe from West Coast Corvettes - good quality and good value.

This is my scenario, too. Have the B&B's (love them) but wanted to pick up a crossover pipe. Maybe not a difference in HP, but have heard it will help with some of the drone from the B&B's. I have the trunk partition which helps, but want to try and remove some of the drone if possible. If nothing else, I'd also like to decrease the decel popping and believe this will do it. Thanks for the info!

The X pipe will help get rid of the popping, but I'm not certain that they will do anything to decrease the drone associated with certain cat backs.
