WOW!! Cannot believe the diference in the way the car drives now. Installed C6 Z06 shocks. Here in N.M. we have some rather rough roads and the car used to jump to the side when you hit them while cornering. Drove the car yesterday in the canyon and the car has lost that dreaded bump steer. Now I have to decide on Z51 or Z06 sway bars. Has anyone help me make that decision? I don't race the car, just enjoy driving it.
On '00-'04 cars, the Z51 rear sway bar is the same size as the Z06 rear. The front Z51 bar is smaller than the Z06. Having a larger front sway bar will help with understeer. I'm guessing if you don't plan on pushing the car too much the Z51 will be fine. Also, you may find the Z51 bars being sold for less.

Thank you, Think I will go for the Z51 sway bars right after I buy and install my headers.
You got lots of options on bars. I run C6Z sways and my rear rubber is 315. If you are going with rubber not as wide I would order C6Z51 bars as those are very nice I know got them on the C6 and they are better than the C5Z ones I used to have on the C5
Might I ask where and for how much did you get the new Z shocks? I am considering these or Bilstein sports for my 99' coupe Z51. Did you do the install?
