My seat foam went south at about 30K miles. So I need to replace it, but I am leery of using GM foam, because the original stuff was so crappy. Is there a better aftermarket source, or should I go with the OEM stuff? Thanks.
I know VE offers seat foam and when I'm ready for my new skins, I will probably replace the foam as well. I was going to ask them if it was GM foam or something better....
I have aftermarket seats but what I did should work on stocks as well. I bought thick memory foam and used an electric bread knife to cut it to match the shape of what I was replacing. It is so comfortable and should hold up for a long time.

When I put the leather interior from Vette Essentials in mine, I also replaced the seat foam - and got it from them. Not sure where they get it from, but it is a good quality product.

I'm not sure about anyone else's experience, but the way the foam sits on the wires, over the rails is what caused my seats to feel "flatter"... it kind cuts into the foam. I used my original foam and just had it reinforced under the bottom and it's fine.

The trick is to use a piece of burlap glued to the bottom of the foam or a piece of mat used under you house carpet.
Just had my seats redone. The wire was starting to cut the foam like a cheese slicer. My uhpolsterer put canvas between wire and foam. Also has anybody noticed the excessive wear on the bolsters? I put extra foam under bolster area and bought bolster bras from mid america to use when I'm driving the car a lot. They just slip on like a fat girls tank top. As expensive as leather covers are I thought it might help.
