Shop needed in Tampa
I have a '97 coupe and the harmonic balancer needs to be replaced. Also, I believe I need to have a bearing replaced in the rear end.
The car has been in the garage for a year and I am interested in getting it fixed and back on the road.
I really hate the local Chevy dealer - does anyone know a good mechanic / shop in the Tampa area (Brandon / Valrico) that is trust worthy and does good work?
Thanks!

everyone else in Tampa cant fix a lawn mower.
You wouldn't believe the shortcuts and stunts these local shops have pulled over the years. I honestly do not know how they stay in business.
Reusing motor oil and transmission fluid and charging the customer for new oils.
Dyno tuning a car that goes out with less horsepower then it went in with and piggy backing tunes at 5-600 dollar rates.
Taking a customer's car out at 2AM in the morning to race it on the Gandy and blowing up the guys 3000.00 brand new diff in a prearranged money race.
Substituting a 97 LS1 block for a LS6 block but not telling the customer because the machine shop cracked the LS6.
Putting in used pistons and rings to replace broken ones and charging for new, then not replacing intake and blowing up the motor on the dyno cause pieces of the old piston were embedded it the plastic intake and came loose.
A tuner removing the PCV system completely and venting to the open air
Absolutely pathetic
No thank you Tampa shops.
Your next bet is in Orlando or go to Houston.
