Default Quick Question!!!

last night i was at a bonfire and was using my vette to play some music (i have a pretty nice system). long story short, the battery died (i know, epic failure), and i started it by having my buddies push the car and slowly releasing the clutch while putting on gas ( i have a manual)

...anyways, afterwords, the car said "reduced engine power" and at full throttle was only going about 8 mph, and my check engine light was on. We let it sit for a bout 15 minutes and then turned it off, then started it about 15 minutes after that. When I did, my car was idling at a much lower rpm then normal (about 500), and when i revved up, the rpm would then go down below the normal idle rpm and almost die (i could feel the car shaking a little).

So I made it home, then turned on my car this morning, and its not as low idle rpm as last night, but its still a little bit lower than normal.

MY question is, is it the battery that was weak and is getting better?

I thought that maybe because I had my car tuned, starting the car the way i did might have re-set the computer, so the tune is off.

What do you guys think, and what should i do?

(if i need to get it re-tuned, its free where i go and i need to anyways because im installing long tubes this sunday)

thanks!!!

Is it the original battery? Why didnt you just have them jump start it?

Have You recharged the battery with a charger?? I've read that it is Very hard on modern alternators when trying to recharge a dead battery (builds a LOT of heat in them),,so it may very well not have a full charge yet. Put it on a charger ,,bring it up to a full charge,,THEN check it out!!

As itzza427 said, I would try putting the battery on a charger and see if it takes a charge. If not then you need a new battery obviously.
