Hey guys hoping you can help. When I turn off my headlights the drivers side light retracts but the motor keeps running and I hear gears grinding . I disconected the light connector and manually lowered the light. I just installed an LED harness bypass relay but I'm sure that's not causing the problem. The other light works fine. any ideas? Thanks for any advice you can give me Jeff
Thanks Bill. Are you pretty sure that's the problem? They were working fine. After installing the LED bypass harness, I checked to make sure the turn lights and the DRL's were working, All checked out. Then I decided to turn on my headlamps. the passenger side went up but not the driver side. That's when I manually raised it and heard something pop. I guess what I'm asking, is to these things just go out with no warning? Again, I can't believe it the bypass harness has anything to do with it.

I think that installing the bypass harness had absolutely nothing to do with this. Your gear on that side just happened to finally let go... right then. The timing is coincidental. The LED flasher bypass has nothing to do with the headlamp motors whatsoever.

Exactly what I thought. Thanks for the confirmation
