Painting Speaker grilles

I want to paint my speaker grilles on my doors because they are really discolored.. Any recomendations on what type of paint?? any prep work?? how many coats??

sorry for all the questions ive never really painted and i dont want it to look like crap .thanks

It is best to remove the door skin and then unbend the tabs that hold the grille in. Just bend the tabs enough to get it loose and wiggle it out. You can also remove the Blows emblem as well. If the tabs break on that little piece just superglue it back on. No one will know. Then use high quality black spray paint. Three coats and looks good as new.

I painted mine black pearl metallic (spray can) with just a scuff and spray. It is very easy and fast to paint them. If they get scratched, a fast touch-up and thats it.
