Default Help pricing a used LS1 engine

Here's the story.

I had a roller lifter rotate 90 degrees in it's socket and grind down my cam and obviously destroy my lifter. My fix was to purchase a crate LS6 engine and install it in my car.

Now I have a complete LS1 engine (minus the accessories) which needs some new lifters, a new cam and a new seal kit and head bolts to put it back together.

So the question. I was asked if I would like to sell it. I don't have a clue what it's worth. What's your opinions? Big Thanks.

$1,200--$1,500 in my opinion.

I've seen used LS1 runners go for 1200 so yours is a bit less.

A guy offered me 300.00 and it seemed a liitle low even considering the work that must be done to the engine. Thanks for the replies. Anymore opinions?

Yeah seems a bit low. I was looking for a block and could not find one for around 350, what I wanted to spend. Good luck!
