Default ls6 intake and tb mod question

I have a 97 with lg pros, x pipe no cats,corsa,160 therm, vararam cai, callaway wires and delco plugs and tune...

1) Would i notice a difference if i were to add an ls6 intake and tb...?? 2) whats the difference in mm from the 97 tb to an o1 or newer tb.???
3) I also need the adapter harness for the tb right..??
4) Anything i need for the ls6 intake or is it a direct bolt on..??

Thanks in advance for any help....

I believe the throttle bodies were the same size on all LS1/LS6 cars. (could be wrong on this one) I had the one on my 97 ported and got significantly better throttle response thought the overall HP increase was minimial.

The LS6 is pretty much bolt on except fot the coolant lines. You'll need to note the position of these lines and grind/dremel down the plastic crossmembers on the bottom of the LS6 intake. Alternatively, you can re-route the coolant lines, but that's a BIG pita.

The LS6 provides a significant gain as demonstrated by "jmx" on LS1howto.com (gain was 24rwhp and 14 rwtq)

You would notice a difference with a ported throttle body and port matched LS6 intake. I have this combination from Lingenfelter.

I really don't believe there is any way possible that it would gain 24rwhp. I only picked up 2hp/2 tq untuned, and then 8hp/12tq with the retune.

If you had done other intake modifications and the Manifold and TB were the weak links in the induction system, it's quite possible to see such gains by a swap.
