Xtreme=Very loud.

I have a bypassed TI and enjoy it. Not too loud, not too quiet. I like the TI exhaust for good flow, lightweight, and quality sound. I wish the tips were different.

I'm running a Borla stinger setup with a Magnaflow crossover pipe on my '01 Z. Loud is a relative term. I mean when I first put it on I thought it was outrageous and was worried it was way too loud but at 62 I'm getting pretty hard of hearing. Now after several thousand miles I love the music. Pretty reasonable at highway speeds but in the mountians it's just music to my ears and I love it. Any system will sound loud at first but give it time and you'll get use to it. My only recommendation is to get either a Magnaflow or Bassani type crossover pipe.

None better than what the Z06 came with, any aftermarket system is going to be heavier and louder thats all.

I had B&B Bullets on my otherwise stock 99 and they sounded great although the resonation was a bit much. With the roof off there was no problem though.

I then had stock Ti's with my H/C LS6, Kooks headers and no cats. They sounded great at WOT although were missing something at cruise.

From there I built my 402 and the Ti's just didn't sound quite right so went to B&B Bullets again. Big mistake, nothing but resonation.

I switched those out with GHL Bullets. The sound is perfect.

Last year I installed cats and lost a little of the cruise tone that I loved, however WOT and idle sound awesome and the GHL's don't resonate your brains out like the B&B Bullets. I can take a 400 mile trip and get to my destination without my ears ringing.
