rear window electric defroster broken connection
It's not the best picture, but the wired connector has broken off on the rear passenger side of the electric defroster.
Does anyone know of a fix for this?

If the tab broke, you're probably going to have to replace it. You might be able to cut the wire and solder one end on to the broken tab and add an inline quick connect splice (male/female spade type) to complete the circuit.

Go to www.frostfighter.com ,They have everything you will need. The tabs are held on by an epoxy that contains metal flakes for continuity. Regular epoxy acts like an insulator.

My problem is not simply that the tab broke off, but the wire going to it is missing from the upper connection. As this is my first corvette, I can not seem to locate where the wire comes from to make a splice and a new connection.
Does the wire come from within the headliner or what, and from which side (driver or passenger)?
I have a 2000 coupe if it matters.

Melting Slicks
This worked great for me
Kragen makes a rear window defroster repair kit. It costs about $13.00The procedure for repairing broken-off electrical connectors is pretty straightforward. Clean the area with lacquer thinner or alcohol to remove any oily residue. Take a small file to remove a couple of burrs, so the tab will lay flat on the glass. The kit comes with a vial of accelerator to complement a small pouch of conductive adhesive. Snap the glass vial of accelerator to release it into the applicator swab, and wet the surface of the glass and the back of the tab. Allow it to dry for 5 minutes. Knead the adhesive pouch for a minute or so, and snip off a corner. Put a couple of drops on the tab, and lightly press it to the glass for 60 seconds. Don’t glue your fingers to the tab or the glass—and don’t ask me how I know this is a bad idea, just trust me.
