Any one have any idea how much it would cost me to have the piece of weatherstripping replaced that goes up the back of the windows and across the roof on the coupes? It's a solid piece but mine has been ripped into three pieces thanks to the way the previous owner put the top in. I have the pricing on the piece, just need a labor price.
200$. Ive been putting off getting it because I think its ridiculous to spend that much money on a piece of rubber. But yeah, look to spend anywhere from 150-250 depending on where you get it.
oh sorry, I didnt read the last sentence... The labor shouldnt be much, If you are careful and handy you could easily do it yourself. Im sure there are plenty DIY's on this site.
Not a hard job at all. I did the "B" pillar stripping on my 84 coupe in about a half hour. Just make sure you scrape any remaining gunk off the pillar before you install the new piece.
I would guess the labor would be very cheap. If you have a nice dealer that you are buying the weatherstripping from ask them if they would mine thrwoing it on real quick. When I had my windshield replaced the weatherstrip that runs alonf the front of the roof panel took a few minutes to remove and install. They simply put down some sort of tar/glue and put the new one on.
