PSSSSSSST . . .It's on the large building behind the car . . .
Duh..
Which is why I said he would "fall out of his chair" when i told him I checked the URL of the image.
I didn't make the connection between the building and the manufacturer until I learned that it was made by callaway. I thought it was just some building in the background of no relevance.
Anyway, I too like the mid-engined kit more than the callaway, but that one must be god-awful expensive.
How much do these rebuilds cost? I'm guessing upwards of 10k..?
EDIT the second kit looks to be about $20k.
So, finding a deadbeat C5 can be done for 10k easily. Looks won't matter with this kit. So, that's essentially a mid engined super car for 30k!!

Callaway is probably a bit more than just a body kit......I recently got to drive a C6 Callaway. Awesome. Simply awesome. 585 hp, and the same price as a zo6. But, u get to keep the removable roof, and the paddle shift if you want.
Callaway vettes are often ordered at the dealer, don't know if they will sell you a body kit or not. I would guess not, as the car is much much more than just a diffrent body. It is the same company that built the "sledgehammer" C4, with twin turbos. As the Factory five kit goes there was a thread on here not to long ago about it. It is awesome, but I do beleive it is expensive and not really easy to do at home. I think they might have even done a group buy, but I have not seen any on here completed yet.
GTM kit car.Last week when i was down dc, I saw one of these GTM kit cars at a motel.I stopped my work truck and told the guy that was working with me, im going right up to it and look at it.The father and son was there beside it.They where real nice. The son dident at first want to talk to me because i was all dirty from work,He thought i was a dirt ball, until i started really talking about the gtm kit car. He was really surprised i new alot about them then he started talking to me.This car was bad ***.The top of the roof is only about 3 feet from the ground. There is alot of room in these cars. The son said he is 5,11 and had plenty of room inside. He said he had about 60,000 into the car and it took him and his dad 3 years to build it off and on...
I'd like my next car to be the Factory Five but I am never gonna get it if I keep modding my C5... 10k more and I'm done.... That's what I said last time......
I prefer this rebody. And, like the last picture, it will take hours of research to figure out who makes it!
This is the kind of car that the C7 was going to be. Mid-engine layout very very low and lean. Alas the the bean counters intervened and deemed it to costly to develop, WTF! That's why they are in deep ****!
Dumb azz big corporate red tape and greed.
Leave it to a small specialty shop of Engnr's, Designers and Craftsman to show how it's done right on a limited budget.

Is this just a C5 overhaul/body?
How much?
I love it!

Dude,
It's the C12. Based off of the C5 Corvette. Only now they, Callaway, are doing the C16 and 580 series based on the C6 Corvette. New probably lists around $200K. Might find a used example for around $150K.
