If your door needs touch up paint to cover 10 scratches, it's going to look like ***.
Find a competent mobile paint guy in your area - the one who works repairing paint scratches and dings on used cars for the local dealers, and have him paint the whole door for $200 with PPG and do it right.
First, make sure it's not just the clear coat, in which you might be able to buff 'em out.
Only a coward does something like that to a mans car. Punks..... Must suck to have no spine. If they're that jealous, try getting a job and buying one. Then mabye they wouldn't have so much time on their hands to scratch up nice cars other people work hard for.
Lately, it seems as though I'm driving my Corvette to Corvette events and other private party events only just because of this kind of crap.
According to the local news/police reports, we've experienced an increase in vandalism, theft and robberies. No doubt due to the economy, etc., however what I find distrubing is that the offenders are becoming more bold by breaking into cars/houses during the middle of the day.
It's tough out there and our trophy cars (even daily driver trophy cars) are targets to be either stolen or vandalized. The challenge is that most Corvette owners I know aren't filthy rich, just hard working folks who've done well enough to afford a Corvette. The exotic and high-end luxury crowd probably don't have the same connection we have with our Corvettes and would simply replace.
I had someone seriously throw a penny out their window at me one night. Left a nice scuff on my passenger door. Some young *** punk ricer driving a 4-door grandma car with the seat leaned all the way back wearing a visor
What a real stinking bummer. I have a few myself but not sure where they came from. Got a new product that is suppose to remove the scratches but haven't tried it yet. It is suppose to be good, but we all know how that goes. It is called QUIXX repair system. www.quixx-usa.com
Will try to remember to post the results with pictures if I remember to take photos of before and after
