Default Hmm interesting find... (wheels)

Well up until now i thought my stock Z06 wheels were the speedline wheels that came with my 2003 Z06. Upon further inspection after taking the rear F1 tires off to sell them. I find out my wheels were made in CHINA!!!!!. They do not say speedline on the back of them either. It also had a sticker on it that said "Dante" something. Can not remember. They looked to be a polished wheel. Not chrome or plain silver. Now did the previous owner maybe sell those and get these or what? Any idea what kind of wheels i have now? Here are some pics for inspection. They are just a quick front side shot. Don't have any underside shots, but they do not mention anywhere on there speedline.

Factory Z06 wheels were made by Alcoa in 2001 and Speedline in 2002 through 2004. Alcoas are forged aluminum while the Speedlines are spun-cast. Alcoas have the "GM" mark on the rear along with size and manufacturing date - Speedlines say "Speedline" along with other data and have casting marks where the Alcoas have the data etched on the spokes. All came painted, not polished, and the Alcoas are a darker gunmetal silver gray vs. the lighter argent silver on the Speedlines. Your car more than likely lost its factory wheels at some point and someone put on repros, many of which come from China.

Don't know about the manufacturer, but I know somebody can't park along curbs.
They look to be a polished aluminum. Aren't the Z16 wheels polished? Could they be those?

Yea 3 out of the 4 wheels had curb rash on it when i bought the car 3 months ago . I didnt care as i knew i was getting new wheels. Im going to use these as my track wheels and get them powder coated black. Now i don't really care about them as im keeping them, but why would the previous owner get repros? They deff are repros cause i dont see any GM markings or Speedline on them. Thanks for letting me know...

There are so many aftermarket wheels out there where it's hard to tell what they are.

Those are definitely knock off rims. You can tell by just looking at them. Im sure the car came with original wheels at some point. Maybe the originals were damaged in an accident or just sold off. Its not too uncommon for cheap knock offs to be put on these cars.

They are not Z16 wheels. Looks like the one's off ebay. Z16 wheels have GM etched on them.
