Stuck light bulb
I'm in the middle of an interior LED swap and ran into a problem with the bulb for the A4 shifter. Due to the heat in the area the bulb is being stubborn as hell to come out. Due to the tight area it's hard to get a good grip on it, in the past with other vehicles I've just tried untill it broke then used some needle nose to pull out the rest, but with the brittle plastic down there I'm concerned about doing more dammage. So I was just hopeing that maybe there was some other trick I hadn't heard of before I try going past the point of no return.

I had the same issue with mine. I ended up breaking the clips that lock the lamp socket to the assembly. The socket was all melted next to the lamp making removal by any other means difficult.
Putting it back together, I just placed the socket back in and it is holding ok.
