I went to the gas station this morning to get the hole in my tire patched. Things were going well until the mechanic asked me for the key to my wheel lock http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...ilies/eek6.gif . I am the second owner of the car and I did not put them on the car. I remember reading a post about a secret hiding spot somewhere behind the driver. If anyone knows where this spot is please tell me. Tell me weird places you have found the key for the wheel locks. Tell me how to get the wheel lock off without a key. I am starting to think this car has some seriously bad karma. The first day I took it to work a car kicked up a tire tread and destroyed the paint on my drivers side headlight bucket. The passenger side seat stopped working even though the harness has power going to it. April 6th a truck dropped rocks which broke my windshield and ruined the paint on my bumper and drivers side window. The windshield and paint issues are being fixed by the dump trucks insurance company. Maybe it has something to do with the car being produced 9/11/2001 or maybe it is just Corvette tax IDK.
Check the cubbies in the back. There is a little cut out on the top of the one behind the driver for it but odds are its in the bottom of one of the cubbies. Good luck.
I just went threw this last week. these guys who claim to corvette guys and sell you a car with no key to the wheel locks. A few days latter you get a flat and can't find it and he told me o yeah I forgot to tell you I lost it. I would NEVER do that to any one. I looked threw the paper work and found the key # found the company online called them $30.00 for the key with over night shipping and I was back on the road Check all you paper work for the key code # if not call the company maybe they can help you 1-800-831-9604 or734-458-8902 the name of the company is AMCOR. Hope this helps
Thank you for the posts. I took the back of the car apart and could not find the lock. I called Amcor and it cost 40 dollars and I should receive it tomorrow or monday.

Make sure you have the right paper work. I say this because I have a 98 Coupe that was purchased 5 years ago. The rubber was new on all four corners so I asked about the lock which the seller did not have but did have the original Amcor paperork that came with the Car in 98. Problem was the locks on the car were changed from the original issue and I paid for a original replacement. I did need to remove a tire this March-09 and discovered my efforts and payments to Amcor, four years ago, were wasted. I had to get a lock cutter and purchase four new locks. I luckly have air tools to use the lock cutter, so check and double check the locks. Always buy a car wih the lock or lower your price to account for the worst choice.
I was really excited until I read that last post. I need this car to go to work with next week so if the key is wrong I will curse and scream for a little while and then beat a socket over the lock and take it off that way.
