so a little background on the motor. forged 346, d1 procharger, meth injection, 13psi, 708rwhp and 612 trq.
I was out today really beating on the car up in the mountains around here and i pulled out of a gas station and really got on it (in competitive driving mode) and under really hard acceleration it seemed like either the car was cutting power or active handling was trying to keep the tires from spinning. When it was doing this, obviously I was not accelerating as I should have been and it caused a vibration type feeling from the rear end.
The car is not throwing any codes.
Trying to diagnose this I did a pull with traction/active handling on and it did the same thing as it did in competitive driving. With the traction/active handling off it seemed like it did not do it (or if it did, it was not near as bad).
I thought maybe it was the motor missing, but taking it out of gear and giving it throttle the motor sounds very healthy.
So what do you guys think? Maybe it's just the active handling having a hard time keeping the wheels from spinning or do you guys think I have a problem back there? Keep in mind these are 2nd gear WOT pulls from like 50mph. It seems like if I only give it a bit more than half throttle it does not do it but on hard pulls it definitely does it. Also, it seems to me that at WOT in 2nd even with active handling/traction on it would over power the system and just spin instead of doing this.
Any information would be helpful for my peace of mind or knowing what I should get checked out.

That traction control works by modulating the throttel and applying brake, you could just be feeling the car, trying to compensate, by putting the binders on.
What it calculates is wheel spin, it wants to keep the front and rear wheels moving at the same speed, so if you have rear wheels doing 100, and the front doing 40 it is trying to stop the spinning of the rear wheels by useing brakes, on the older vetts with mechanical throttel, you could feel the traction control trying to push the pedal back, they were an easy fix you just removed the steel bar on the traction control.
But on this car the computer runs the fuel pedal, and the brakes, I wouldn't worry about it.
Does that system work with traction/active handling off? Like, will it try to adjust the rear wheel speed using the brakes and such with the T/A-H off?

Don't let the questions fool you. I have experience with the power, just with a totally different car. I was not aware the computer compensates the throttle by slightly adding brakes. Believe me, I'm not looking to just go sideways, I want to put the power to the ground. This whole thing just kind of freaked me out because I wasn't sure what was going on. I feel like I am a good driver, and believe it or not, that much power is very easy to handle in this car with throttle control and knowing the car, along with my suspension upgrades the car goes exactly where I want it to, and even when the car does step out it's always in control.

I just realized what I had originally intended to say in my post came out differently, posting late night can do that
What I wanted to say is personally(me) not having experience with that much power I would rely on the AH/TC. I mean you practically doubled what I have
I was not questioning your skill, that just came out wrong.
Coming back on topic, based on all I've read through this forum the basic drivetrain stays put with a few basic upgrades (shafts, brace, clutch etc) unless drag style dumps are done. I'm following your build especially since you're not shy to drive it
