Default transmission HELP!

Dealer installed a new trans in my "03 Z06 2 weeks ago under warranty. They did a shoddy job of putting it back together. Mufflers hanging down (headers/slip joint adjustment). They used the old suspension carriage nuts. It shifted terrible. I could not even get 6th gear. They then put a new shifter in. It shifting was very choppy still. They said give it some break in time and it should get better. After 250 miles it was much worse. I readjusted the shifter. It did not help. It locks me out of 1st, 3rd, 6th and is very stiff going into all other gears. The transmission they put in was part# 12589534. Is this the correct # for a Z06? It went back to the dealer Sat. I just want to be sure they put the correct trans in. BTW, the clutch was replaced a couple of months ago. It has about 1k miles on it.

I'm not finding a # for the entire M12 trans, I would ask Gene Cully.

Finally got the car back last night. Shifts much better. They had to replace all syncros. The mechanic said it was a shoddy build on the "NEW" one they had installed. First I have heard of a new tranny having to be rebuilt after only 250 miles. I assume they they say rebuild but did not put new berrings and such in. Anyway, it was under GM warranty which is now backed by the government. I want to thank everyone here for chipping in to fix my car.

Should have sent to RPM to be rebuilt and save us tax payers $2 grand and the job would have been done right the first time.

Yea, I screwed up and trusted Tremac to build a good product for a bankrupt car company.
