Default Car Show (PICS)

Went to a car show Saturday, and I should have stayed home. I realise it sounds like I am complaing. Perhaps a bit seeing how a car that took first in the Super Chevy Show Several weeks ago, didn't even place. What's up with that? Nothing over 1968 even placed. I didn't realize it was being hoisted by a club until it was pretty much over. Heck, several of never, ever saw a judge of any kind in our area. Had a great time anyway and the weather was off an on. Some rain but we didn't melt. Oh well now I have vented, check out the pic's.

Great pictures!! Awesome vette! Don't get discouraged all shows are judged by different people, and they all have different taste. I would say the open shows are by far the hardest to place!

My trophy collecting days are over. Whoever brings the largest entourage or is a member of the club will win unless there are some "objective" judging standards or the club hosts aren't allowed to compete.

I like to go to cruise nights and non-judged events. Mostly, I just like to drive.

Nice pics. Sometimes it's just best to go into a show just for the fun of it - not all are well run or judge all entries fairly.

Don't feel too bad,i went to a show saturday and they put you in a class according to the year of your vehicle. 60-70 71-80 81-90.
I guess the judges weren't to fond of any kind of customizing. I got beat out by a stock 95 bronco,i was kinda pissed at first but i laugh about it now i still had a good time hanging out

It's best to go just for the fun of it, and not worry about the judging. At smaller events, you have to wonder what qualifies someone to even judge the vehicles in attendance.

Gary,

You live and learn on these shows. Just go to have fun and any hardware you bring home will be a plus.. You can ask Lightman about last year show we attended that had the same results...

By the way,, Nice looking engine bay on your car!!! How's the paint you got from me? Did it match to what you already had done?

When I do enter a show, not very often, I never expect to win anything. I love my vette and I don't care if I am the only one. Mostly just do a show here and there 'cause my buddies are gonna be there!

Example, this weekend there will be hundreds of Vettes at the Lone Star Classic at Texas Motor Speedway in Ft Worth. I entered the Show and Shine Event which is on Saturday. There will be some incredible Vettes in that show! I have no chance of getting in the hardware but the beer will be cold!

Did just reinstall the hoodliner I "dressed up" for the show. Sunday and the Hotlaps on the speedway with my buddies is the real reason for going!

Can you say Ghost Emblem,,,sorta,,,,,,kinda,,,,,wtf i'm just an average vette guy! At least I painted over the dust!
