Default Need intake advise????

Have a 99 coupe. Cold air, Torqure II cam 230/232 dur 595 lift 112 LA,
LT headers, no cats, X pipe, Corsa touring cat back, underdrive pully.

I want to upgrade the intake manifold as well as heads (both stock LS1)
I will not be able to afford all at once. Do I upgrade the intake first, or the heads??? Can I even upgrade the heads with out upgrading the intake? Kinda looking at LS6 for both pieces? From what I can research, I will not be able to upgrade the intake without also upgrading the throttlebody. Is this true? What would be the best setup intake/head wise for this cam. Don't really want anything too wild as it is driven very often.. Any info would be great. Car has a mailin tune currently and runs really good although I think it is a bit "safe/rich". Should I just get a good street tune and be done????

Really need some input as I am stumbling to make the righ desicion!

Thanks for any help guys!!

Lot of questions here..Here's a few answers...

1) You planning on a Fast 90/92 intake manifold or a LS6 intake manifold?
2) You can use a LS6/Fast 90 intake manifold with LS1 or LS6 heads
3) If you go with the Fast 90 IM, you'll need a 90mm TB
4) You could upgrade them in any order you want, but you have to pull the intake when you pull the heads...

I am currently looking at the LS6 intake. Don't really see much gain in either without the head upgrade along with it.
Can I use the stock throttlebody with the LS6 intake?

I have the BBK intake and throttle body, they work well and are nice pieces, and look sweet with the hood up.

Lot's of companies advertise big HP gains for their products. Very few people actually get the advertised gains. You would probably do better with an LS6 intake manifold and getting your stock TB ported. You could even leave your TB stock, as there is no difference between an LS1 and LS6 TB. No way I would pay for a new TB unless I was going to a 90mm part for the Fast 90 or 92.

Don't really no what the gain is, but I first put on the BBK TB felt a little difference in response, then dumped that piece of crap LS1 intake and it opened a whole new world for me. That switch will be the best bang for your buck I think.

Did you go with the BBK intake as well as TB? Isn't the BBK TB 80mm. And isn't the stock LS1 TB like 74mm or 76mm

I first put on the BBK throttle body on my stock LS1 intake. When I put the LS6 intake on it made a huge difference. The BBK intake looks good and they make awesome products. However, I would go with the LS6 intake. GM did their homework on this one! You won't regret the switch!! You will have to get a few parts, a LS coolant bi-pass tube GM Part # 12602544 and plugs for the rear GM part # 1260240. You will need to remove the old pipe. It's a simple job!

what about getting a ported ls6 IM to 90mm and getting a ls2 throttle body to accompany it? it would be much cheaper than the Fast combo
