Default Time guesses for 1/4 mile?

Theres a test and tune here locally they finally opened the military base up since 9/11 to drag racing. I have a 1999 Coupe with 84k miles and its an A4 with black wing intake and corsa? cat back, and also bald rear run flats. Looking for any guesses on what i might run and shoot for time wise for the 1/4. Thanks

man.. don't be expecting too great of times.

the a4's with 2.73's really are slouche's.

i'm gonna go 14.0-14.1 realistically ..

seen many a4 coupes do that around here. without bald tires

My best time out of 3 runs on a slick track, weighing 270lbs myself, and bald rear emt mud and snow tires was a 13.7

Get a 3200 stall and some Nittos 555R's at least, and you'll be 12.8-13.2 all day!!!

I was gonna guess 13.5 at about 103. That is what I ran inmy '98 'vert with a honker, B&B cat back, 3.15 rear gear, and 295/35/19 on the rear. Don't be disappointed that your stock car won't go 12.8 at 108. All of us can't be that fortunate. If we are to believe everything we read, there are many stock LS1 vettes here that out 1/4 my LS6 vette. Your car appears to perform on par with other "normal" basically stock vettes. Enjoy it!

FWIW I went 13.24@106 (2.03 60') with nothing but a K&N air filter, non-RFT Toyo tires, and some slightly quicker shifts via HP Tuners (set desired shift times to .250sec).

Put a drag radial on it and did the zip tie mod and ended up with a 13.15@106 (1.99 60'). I'd say the drag radials didn't do anything for me based on the 60'

Ran two passes with a 107.3MPH. DA was 900'

1997 A4/2.73s, 117k miles (trans replaced with GM reman at 100k).. lowered on Bilstein Sports.

prolly 13.70s to low 14s, depending on traction.

My .02 worth.

i myself always ran faster with the traction control off. it just always bogged to bad for me to leave it on.

you had some pretty good times there buddy 13.1 with what mods you had. some cars are "freaks" from the factory.

my buddy has a 01 z28.. he switched his ls6 intake for a polished holley wiend, cut the muffler out of the car, k &n air filter, and a tune.

he dyno'd at 360 rwhp and 350 ft lbs. CRAZY for that car. and he's a a4 with 2.73's

fwiw every 1/10 off of your 60 ' is worth about 3/10's at the 1/4 mile

I tried the 1st 2 with traction control off, and my bald tires didnt help. I ran a 14.0 first run, with a horrible .7 reaction, and then the 2nd run i had a .3 reaction but i lost traction out of the gate and it cost me big time at a 14.9
